Contact Us
Found an outdated rule, a broken link or a mistake? We want to hear about it. Every message is read by the person who maintains the data.
How to reach us
Email us at hello@example.com. We do not use a contact form, so your message goes straight to our inbox and is not stored on this website.
Reporting a correction
To help us fix a problem quickly, please include:
- the address of the page, for example the state and topic you were reading;
- what you think is wrong, and what the rule should say;
- a link to the official source, such as the state DMV, the legislature or the department of revenue;
- the date a new law takes effect, if the rule is about to change.
We check each report against the official source before changing anything. When a correction is confirmed, we update the state page, the national map and the comparison pages at the same time, and we change the review date shown on every page.
What we cannot help with
We cannot give legal advice or answer questions about a specific ticket, accident or insurance claim, and we cannot contact agencies for you. For those questions, contact your state agency, your insurer or a licensed attorney in your state.
How long a reply takes
We usually answer within a few business days. Reports about a law that has just changed get priority, because a wrong deadline or fine can cost a reader money. If a correction needs a look at a new statute or a court ruling, we will tell you when we expect to finish checking it.
Other requests
Journalists, schools and nonprofits are welcome to cite our pages with a link. If you would like to use our state tables in bulk, write to us first and tell us how you plan to use them.
